About Gmail

Yehey my first post!!! Haha :)
On our second meeting with Sir Oli, our professor, he lectured about how can we maximize technology. He told us why Internet and Mobile Device are so popular, it is because by these things we can connect with people and the resources. Especially the internet, because you can do a lot of things in the computer all at the same time. One important and useful site he said is the GOOGLE. On our first meeting he told us to make our own Gmail account, when I heard that I said what's that? is it new? I didn't really know anything about google except that I can do my research there, I didn't know that there was a Gmail like the Yahoo mail then there was also a Google group like a Yahoo group and also you can Chat at google like the YM... I got so curious so after our first meeting when I went home I directly went to my computer and check the Gmail and it was impressive. You'll think that it's just an ordinary Mail service but definitely it's not. So going back about our second meeting, Sir Oli already explain to us a lot of things about how useful the Gmail account is. He said that:
Gmail can store a lot of your mails because of its high capacity and then when you chat using the Google Chat it will automatically save your conversations with your friends not like the Yahoo Messenger when you sign out, the messages will be removed. With Gmail you can make documents and what nice is that you and your friends can edit the document you're working on at the same time this is very useful for the students not allowed to overnight. Another feature that's nice about Gmail is that instead of using the Bookmark to save the websites you want, you can now use the Gmail notebook the difference is that when you save at the Gmail notebook you can transfer to other computers and can still check the websites you saved not like in the bookmark. Gmail also has this label system where you can organize your mails not like the yahoo that uses folder.
And this really amazed me the most... Gmail has a calendar where you can write your schedule not only that! There's this kind of reminder that Gmail will email or text you about your schedules for the day. Cool right? :) hahaha I really learned a lot from Sir OIi!!! btw, he's really a cool professor! I like him! He see to it that we learn and at the same time enjoy his lectures.
